We're excited to welcome you to Coromandel via Ferry

Welcome to Coromandel Town!

If you’re stepping off the ferry, you’ve already enjoyed one of New Zealand’s most scenic journeys. Now the adventure begins on land. Whether you’re here for an overnight stay, a weekend, or the start of a longer Coromandel escape, here’s everything you need to know.

The Coromandel ferry has always been more than just a transport service. It’s a link our community campaigned hard for, and we’re proud that a New Zealand–owned company, Explore Group, stepped in to keep it alive. It’s the lifeline that brings visitors, supports local business, and connects us with Auckland and beyond.

Learn more about how the community came together to bring the Ferry back to the Coromandel.
