Owners John and Anne Louden have owned the Coromandel Oyster Company since February 2007.
They catch and farm wild Pacific oysters, then harvest, process and distribute nationwide as well as retail through their quaint little oyster shack on the main highway into Coromandel town or online sales.
Situated on the south side of Coromandel town on SH25, you can relax in the garden, sitting on the older barges that used to do all the work – and eat fresh or cooked oysters, steamed or marinated mussels, good ole Kiwi takeaways, fresh fish n chips and hot food whilst overlooking the oyster farms and Coromandel harbour.
Oysters and mussels are also sold through their online shop and delivered nationwide.
